Situated in a quiet neighborhood next to the forest, this residence belonging to Diana Nitreanu embodies the architect’s eclectic personal style. A colorful color palette combined with sculptural applications of brass, wood, natural leather, velvet and marble gives the space a bold allure. The architect’s forever love for the Art Deco style of the 20’s is powerful present within the entire space.

The private residence is a journey through custom design, in which all the elements of the story are well thought and put in the right place. Diana’s curation of designs is expressed by various objects that bring life to the entire space. The architecture of the building that Diana created is endowed with floor-to-ceiling windows – a perfect match for the open layout interior, creating connection within all the main areas and the outdoor.

Walking through the home feels like reading different stories that each design element is narrating. A powerful contrast between royal dark colors of the day features, combined with light color palette for the night areas and bathrooms, preserves a balanced overall look so that the space is not translated as too dark.

Through the master area before reaching the bathroom, is the walk-in closet, featuring velvet  door paneling adorned with brass decorations that evoke the Art Deco spirit symbolizing wealth and sophistication. The bedrooms were deliberately designed using more restful shades, together with the bathrooms that bring an ode to natural materials in their most glamorous representations. Natural leather doors frames  with custom brass handles, bring to your mind a discreet taste of the Old Hollywood Glam Era.

The stripe patterned marble walls of the bathrooms were highlighted through the game of geometries, so that the distinctive linear veins were rotated in all directions to create different visual effects. The unique pattern of Marmara Marble resembles the intricate stripes of a zebra, which has led to its common name. The white and gray hues in this marble create a stunning contrast, making it an attractive choice for its playful visible potential.

Within the residence, bespoke custom pieces from the architect’s design line, Segunda Piel add layers of character, enveloping the space with a distinct sense of soul and warmth.
