Nestled within the old center of Bucharest, this intimate restaurant seamlessly transitions from a vibrant bistro space by day to a serene evening retreat with music and night shows. The room’s centerpieces are captivating blue Corinthian columns backed by plant moss walls and complemented by brass ornaments that harmoniously blend together to create an atmosphere of refined comfort and inspiration.
Well-chosen and well-thought by the architect, the space showcases a refined eclectic mix of materials, echoing the architectural elements of the original 1920s structure sustained by industrial and minimalist design features. Notable finishes include floor-to-ceiling brass veneering, velvet sofas, metallic bar with counter shelves, leather chairs, plaster walls and the presence of greenery, artfully fusion to create a captivating ambiance. There is an intriguing game of materials – all of the furnishings, textiles, materials and decor were hand-selected and thoughtfully, thematically considered, giving the space so much soul, as if flying back into time and reinterring the 1920s revival times.
At the upper floor, the ample interior is dotted with intimate seating areas for private gathering moments, infused with a juxtaposition of contemporary pieces from different materials for a distinctive cosy feel.
